An email received Sunday afternoon says there's a target of $2 on TLPC compared to its Friday close of $0.32 which is actually its Thursday close since no shares traded on Friday --- this is interesting ahead of a weekend stock spam. 7,000 shares changed hands on Thursday and TLPC traded between $0.28 (at open and its daily low) and $0.32. TLPC has many days in which no shares change hands. Volume in the tens of thousands is lumpy surrounded by zero-volume days. Yahoo Finance shows TLPC has a $9.37 million market capitalization. And TLPC is shown to have traded between $0.03 and $1.75 over the past year. It goes without saying:  CAVEAT EMPTOR. Very tenuous reason to buy a stock, let a lone a penny stock, on such news. "This stock is soaring, still well below cash!" says the email subject line! It touts an amazing trading session up as high as 26% to $0.12, before closing at $0.104. It appears to be true on the surface but it is a misread by the spammers. Green Energy Renewable Solutions (EWRL) has a market capitalization of $6.5 million according to Yahoo! Finance and cash of $11 THOUSAND versus total debt of $70 thousand. The way the numbers appear in Key Statistics for EWRL in Yahoo! Finance, at first glance it looks like there's cash of $11 million. That's does NOT appear to be case upon further review of the page where units of "millions" are denominated accordingly. Also a quick look at the Balance Sheet on Yahoo! Finance doesn't show there being an Cash and Cash Equivalents as of the quarter end June 29, 2012. We will try and do some more research over the next few days before the market opens Monday. Today (Friday) it is absolutely CAVEAT EMPTOR. Be careful out there! Volume spikde to over 510,000 shares yesterday compared to 6,300 on Wednesday and less than 50,000 since Oct. 4. EWRL had volume at or above 1 million shares traded in late September when it reached as high as $0.19 a share.

Face Up Entertainment Group (FUEG) stock spam, pump and dump failing .... The spammers must be dismayed that volume has not spiked upward. Making matters worse is FUEG has failed to set a higher high over the past couple trading sessions. On Monday volume was higher but boy was FUEG volatile. FUEG opened at $0.24 compared to a close of $0.29 on Friday. It traded as high as $0.28 intraday, and which is where it closed, but it did trade as low as $0.23 intraday! Did the $0.23 reflect spammer selling and then the rally back renewed buying??? Careful here folks.

SMA Alliance (SMAA) spikes on stock spam, pump and dump

SMA Alliance (SMAA) (S_M_A A), the target of a stock spam for the market's open yesterday (Oct. 8) saw its volume triple to over 700,000 shares while its stock price climbed as high as $0.13 before closing at $0.12, up $0.03 (33%) on the day. How convenient to have a stock spam set for Columbus Day. We wrote about SMAA before the market opened and said caveat emptor. The warning stands, though there may be more upside considering how aggressive the spammers want to see the price move: "target appreciation" of 258% - 1,400%." Source Gold Corp. (SRGL) (SR_G L) stock spam, pump and dump: "I Don`t Believe This!"

We have received one of the best stock spam pump and dumps in while. $1.9 million (market capitalization) Source Gold Corp. is the target. Ticker SRGL or SR_G L as the spammers would have it. Touting the not even $2 million company as being a beneficiary of "global demand for gold" which they say "could soar to $221.5 Billion this year" is clearly a stretch if 7 figures is to be expected to turn into 9 figures or more! 

Source Gold (SRGL) has traded between a penny and $0.25 over the past year according to Yahoo! Finance. It closed yesterday (Monday) at $0.04 per share on very heavy volume of 5,273,500 shares. That compares to volume of 169,700 on Friday. It traded above 5 million shares last week too on Oct. 2 and over 3.5 million on Oct. 1. The stock at that time went from an effective ZERO or near-ZERO cents per share to a PENNY. Clearly there was some cheap accumulation of shares. On Oct. 3 volume came down but was still over 1.2 million AND the SRGL closed at $0.03 per share. So the pump-and-dump scheme has been set in motion. SRGL traded as high as a nickel yesterday. Let's see what happens today and for the rest of the week. The recent SRGL trading activity would suggest there are roughly, at least, 5 million shares that need to be sold. One would assume the stock price needs to see more upside before these shares flood the market as sell orders. 

Caveat emptor folks! Downside in this one would probably be near-ZERO.

Folks the formatting of the email received regarding SMA Alliance (SMAA) (S_M_A A) is evidence enough there is a pump-and-dump scheme at play. With a subject line of "We can never get enough of a good thing," and with so-called "target appreciation" of 258% - 1,400%, you know how it often goes. Caveat emptor for this $0.09 per share stock with a $23.1 million market capitalization per Yahoo! Finance. Interestingly trading volume was the lowest it had been all week on Friday and the lowest since Sept. 21. At the same time, SMA is down 50% since a month ago when it was $0.18 per share (the highest it has traded since spike above $0.20 around June). Not the typical pump-and-dump setup of volume rising pre-spam, but with the pps down by half in a month, this may either an act of desperation by some shady holders or opportunism to take advantage of the lower pps.

FaceUp Entertainment (InTake Communications), "It is my new MUST SEE STOCK!‏" (FUEG) (FU_EG)

Looks like a classic case of penny stock spam, scam, pump-and-dump. Sunday morning we received an email with the subject line: It is my new MUST SEE STOCK!‏ It's interesting on Google Finance that the FUEG ticker brings up Intake Communications, which has the same Friday closing price of $.303. Intake was Face Up's corporate name until January 2011. It was then Game Face Gaming until April 2012. The $.303 close reflected a gain of 8.21% on the day on almost 117,000 shares traded. Google Finance has a market capitalization of $16.42 million for FUEG. Yahoo Finance shows Face Up Entertainment Group for FUEG and it shows a higher market capitalization of $17.76 million. We also see that Face Up has hired Al Rash, formerly of Full Tilt Poker, per a press release which is the reason cited by the spammer to buy Face Up. There is a very aggressive "10 Day Goal Value" of $2.36. Although we don't see any warnings from Pinksheets.com, when we were more actively covering stock spams we have seen Pinksheets apply them during and following an email pump-and-dump campaign. As always, caveat emptor!

And as recently as last late-October, Force Energy was also the target of a stock pump. The last we reviewed FORC on October 27, it closed at $0.27/share. Here we are about three months later and it's at $0.315/share after losing over 7% on Thursday on lighter volume than compared to recent trading.
