Dixie Lee's Downgrade

Dixie Lee Industries International (DLII) (DLII.PK) has been shunned by PinkSheets.com. Only about a week ago there was a Pink Sheets warning, "Stop: No Information," essentially telling potential investors to be aware of the fact the company doesn't publish financials. Early last week Dixie Lee was then labeled: "Caveat Emptor." But, there was still market data on its trading activity. A check today of Dixie Lee (DLII) (DLII.PK) and there's absolutely nothing, a pure and complete downgrade to "Caveat Emptor."

It's not clear DLII spammers were effective in making much, if any, money off the flock of chicken (read spam).

Dixie Lee (DLII) (DLII.PK) lost 1.12% to $0.88 on Friday. On Friday, February 29, DLII closed at $1.17.

Dixie Lee Industries International (DLII) (DLII.PK) Stock Spam: Investors Chicken Out

So much for the Dixie Lee Industries International (DLII) (DLII.PK) stock spammers. After another day of selling, DLII / DLII.PK is at $1.00 even on about twice its average trading volume (it had four times trading volume on Monday). During the day it fell to $0.95 a share. There have been cases like this with Pink Sheet stock spams when the pumped stock fails to make any gains and trades lower on heavier than average volume. Whose to say Dixie Lee is a buy/sell/hold at this level without knowing the company's financials. Yahoo shows a 52wk low range of $0.55 and a high of $10.00.

Dixie Lee (Chicken): "Put your order in today for a full plate of profits and significant investment appreciation!"

Dixie Lee Industries International (DLII) (DLII.PK) was being pumped, with hype similar to that in the title, back in January in the USA Today business section. The promoter: www.strongbuyalert.com ("A monthly investor's newsletter.")

Dixie Lee is being pumped again, this time around in email stock spam. See Second Dixie Lee International (DLII) (DLII.PK) Stock Spam on Saturday and Dixie Lee International (DLII) (DLII.PK) Stock Spam, Er... Chicken! (this one has good background info including PinkSheets.com's warning).

The strongbuyalert.com promotion of Dixie Lee (DLII) (DLII.PK) in the USA Today included some great lines:
"This company has all the right ingredients to become the house favorite in every portfolio."

"DLII is looking to conquer the world's taste buds one new restaurant at a time!"

Some "DLII Market Info":
Price: Under $5.00
10 day AVG volume: 105,000 [est]
O.S. Sharees [est]: 40 M

And this:
Dixie Lee is serving it up with these menu offerings:

Dixie Lee has a sweet share/debt structure, unlike some of this fragmented industry's bloated competitors that are stuffed with extra helpings of debt, and because the Management team is loaded with proven leaders, who know how to cook up mouth watering profits, Dixie Lee doesn't need fancy investment houses to raise capital to get the job done.

Featured SmallCap Company?

It is a known fact that franchise owners usually have a better chance of success as a business operator than an independent start up owner. However few investors realize investing in the stock of franchise companies can be even more financially rewarding.
The RCF 50 Index is up 92 percent since January 2000, while the S&P 500 is up 9.5 percent over the same period. The index tracks the market performance of the top 50 U.S. public franchisors with fast food operations out performing all other industries.

The recipe for success is simply, a tested business model, existing market brand, support, training, and in addition the financial risk is largely borne by the individual franchisee, not the public company. Historically, well run fast food franchise stocks, purchased during times of economic uncertainty have outperformed the DOW, the S&P, and the NASDAQ 100. Had you purchased McDonald?s ( NYSE: MDC ) five years ago at $13.00, you could have watched your investment hit a high of $63.69. Yum! Brands, Inc. operates KFC, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, Long John Silver's, and A&W All-American Food Restaurants. Yum! Brands ( NYSE: YUM) could have been purchased in 2001 at $8.00 per share and currently trades at $36.77 per share. Not a bad ROI for about 20 minute?s worth of work placing trades, however where should investors look today to cash in on the overwhelming success of franchising to outperform the market indexes?

Well if you did not get in on the ground floor opportunities of Chipolte Mexican Grill (NYSE: CMG)$104.90, Under Armour (NYSE: UA)$39.64 or TBSI Corp (NASDAQ: TBSI)$38.14, consider this year?s next market darling, Dixie Lee International Industries, Inc. (OTC: DLII.PK - News), parent company of the 40-year-old "Dixie Lee" brand name, with more than 80 franchised Chicken & Seafood restaurants. DLII operates in three of the restaurant industry's strongest segments -full service, fast casual and takeout. The company?s recent announcement of offering franchises both in the US and international markets could catapult DLII stock from its current $1.00 a share to $3.00 to $4.00 a share near term, to possibly strong double digits post US sub-prime crisis.

Dixie Lee International (OTC: DLII.PK - News) has earned our five star ?strong buy? recommendation. The time to buy this stock is now before the roll out of the US franchises. DLII has already announced new international locations in Montr?al,
Dubai, and Manchester England this year. Savvy investors should position themselves now in this ground floor opportunity then sit back and watch the frenzy as a massive influx of investors, analysts and brokers add DLII to their radar forcing it to go to much higher levels. Recommendation: STRONG B

Dixie Lee International (DLII) (DLII.PK) Stock Spam, Er... Chicken!

A stock spam for Dixie Lee International Industries (DLII) (DLII.PK) arrived in a Windows Live (formerly Hotmail) account Saturday afternoon. (See the bottom of this post for a copy of the DLII stock spam.) Dixie Lee by the way, is a Canadian food (chicken) distributor and operator of chicken diners. Dixie Lee also franchises its diners.

Recent press releases suggest a global growth initiative, from Manchester, UK, to Dubai, UAE. A news release from late January says Reovest Growth Research initiated coverage of Dixie Lee with a "Speculative Investment Merit" rating and a price target of $3.00 - $4.00. (See DLII news on Yahoo Finance). Dixie Lee closed Friday at $1.17. DLII has traded between $0.55 and $10.00 over a 52wk range.

Dixie Lee's investor relations website leaves a potential investor with more questions than questions answered (eg. its FAQ page is "still under construction"). And the "financials" is nothing more than a stock chart. But, it is still better than a lot of other Pink Sheets investor relations pages.

PinkSheets.com has a "Stop: No Information" warning label for DLII.
